Accomplishments
4th Quarter 2006 – July
thru September
- Promotion of National Parents Day
on July 23 getting the message of parental influence out to 672 churches in
both counties.
- National Night Out on August 1
reached approximately 1,000 people at the Boys and Girls Club. The event was
a joint effort of Neighborhood Patrol, Pensacola Police Department, Escambia
Sheriff’s Department, Navy, Community Drug and Alcohol Council along with
Target as the national sponsor.
3rd Quarter 2006 – April
thru June
- The insert campaign is in full
swing with Pete Moore Chevrolet as the main sponsor. The Coalition is
working to deliver 56,240 to parents of Escambia County school children and
26,000 in Santa Rosa as a back to school targeted approach.
- Billboard campaign produced 19 billboards
and posted them throughout both counties. April thru September (Annual
activity)
- New members include Kevin Franklin
with the Pensacola Police Department and Barbara Hoard representing the
Human Relations Commission.
- NWFLPC Newsletter developed and published
for distribution. (quarterly activity)
2nd Quarter 2006 –
January thru March
- Mini-Project application
packet distributed to, Neighborhood Watch Groups, Neighborhood Associations and
PTA Groups in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties.
- Membership expansion - Recruitment
activities include a project with the “Youth on a Mission” group by
supporting the take back the park event on Saturday, April 1, 2006. The
group’s leader, Keyeuna Teague, has agreed to join the coalition as the
representative for the 15 member youth group. Andrea Hartsog representing
the Florida Department of Health; and Danette Krumel with Professional
Health Examiners have joined the coalition as active Steering Committee
members.
- Development of the insert campaign
continues focusing on the messages and layout. The design will co-inside
with the first billboard graphic and will go to print in early April. The
coalition is utilizing the mock ups to begin developing community sponsors.
- NWFLPC Newsletter developed and
published for distribution. (quarterly activity)

- Development of a business insert campaign.
The campaign purpose is to partner with utility companies for a commitment to
mail the insert to their consumers in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties during
the second quarter. The insert is designed to provide ATOD facts, parental tips,
up coming events, along with contact information to join the Coalition.
- New Member information packet developed as
a training tool for members. The following items are included in the packet:
Coalition Brochure, Strategic Plan, Member Roster, Business Partners,
Accomplishments, Current News Letter, Timeline, and Website address.

developed with action items. Update as needed with Steering Committee
approval.

presented to NWFLPC Steering Committee for review and approval.
